Knight Dental Group, CDL, DAMAS is extremely proud to announce that Barbara Warner Wojdan, CDT, Executive Vice President of the laboratory, has earned the distinguished designation of Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Wojdan is one of only 31 dental technicians internationally and one of four women to have reached this achievement. She is the only AACD Accredited Member currently living in the state of Florida. She will be officially recognized at the AACD Annual Scientific Session in Boston, MA on Saturday, May 21, 2011.
"We could not be prouder of Barbara and her efforts to successfully achieve the rank of AACD Accredited Member," said Warren Rogers, president & CEO of Knight DentalGroup. "This process has placed her among the most forward-thinking and talented dental technicians in the world, and we believe that our clients and their patients will only benefit from her ongoing quest for excellence."
After passing the written examination in 2008, Wojdan passed the rigorous clinical case submission portion in the accreditation process in one year, becoming one of the fastest to complete this process. The case submission process is what the AACD calls 'the core of the accreditation process' where dental laboratory technicians are required to submit three cosmetic dentistry case types to be evaluated by a panel of AACD judges. She recently finalized the oral exam portion of the process in January 2011.
The AACD accreditation process serves to set standards for excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Achieving accredited status from the AACD requires dedication to continuing education, careful adherence to the protocols, and a resolve to produceexceptional dentistry.

About AACD
In 1984 the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry was formed by a group of forward-thinking individuals, dedicated to continuing education in the rapidly evolving field of cosmetic dentistry. Within a short period of time, the AACD developed a credentialing process for cosmetic dentistry designated "Accreditation".
As techniques and materials have improved, the Accreditation examination has continued to set a standard for excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Accreditation represents the acknowledgment of a dentist's or laboratory technician's excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Accreditation and the examination process are administered by the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry.
